Top 7
Does anyone realistiocally think we can break into the current top 7? Methinks not. 8th at best.

FA cup for Europe then.

of course we can, I have not given up hope of 4th yet either

Re: Top 7
8th should be the lowest finish, if we don't want to feel a bit let down after the ridiculously good start.

I can't see Chelsea dropping too many points, so I've given up hope of winning the league, but a place in europe is still there to be won.

Re: Top 7
Remember when people actually thought we'd get in the champions league

"Not seen anything from arsenal liverpool tottenham and man utd to suggest they'll be fighting for 4th place..." Or something along those lines!

Re: Top 7
"Not seen anything from arsenal liverpool tottenham and man utd to suggest they're any better than us"

was what i said.

And it still stands.

Except the people within the club and it''s 'supporters' have their opinion formed by Jamie REDKNAPP, and just accept that because we're little old West Ham, we;ll inevitably fall away.

Losers.

Great work there Ron, I'd forgotten who the main culprit was!

Re: Top 7
hahahahahahaha

On a mildly serious note, I think there's very little between us and Southampton, so they're still in the top 4, so no reason that couldn't have been us.

In fact, consdiering most on here thought they'd be relegated, there's a fair argument to suggest we should be some wayahead of them....

Re: Top 7
oh, and fwiw, I never mentioned Goon. They've had horrednous injuries, and were always likely to come back.

Re: Top 7
When it gets to the business end of the season the aforementioned sides will step it up, in fact they already have, where we will win one week then lose the next. we still alck any real believe which was evident in not being able to finish Man Utd off on Sunday. I very much doubt we will finish 7th and that's got nothing to do with what Jamie REDKNAPP says.

If I had to put money on it, I'd say 8th. But even at this stage a lot rides on tonight I reckon.

Re: Top 7
We've had a tough run of games, and have dropped away a bit. But then we will have fixtures, where we will be capable of picking up the points again to get us back to 5th or 6th.

Re: Top 7
Start of season would have accept 9th to 12th.

After our good start Id accept 8th (or higher)

Next season after a clear out and 3 or 4 more cracking signings would love to push for top 6 altho I understand it is very hard.

We will beat Southampton and Tottenham

Re: Top 7
We've leapfrogged Everton, and Southampton aside, we're behind only the clubs that it's very difficult to compete on an even keel with.

Wherever we finish this season (hopefully between 6th and 8th) I just pray that the bigger clubs don't come circling around for the likes of Cresswell, Song, Sakho, Valencia and Kouyate, which would really fuck up any progress we've made in the recent past.

I'd have to hope the players have been sold the appeal of the new stadium and more resultant progress for the club (whether that turns out to be true or not) as a reason to stick around.
